Honorary Consul of Montenegro in Slovenia Vojislav Kovac attended the event Diaspora Days, which was held for the sixth time in Plav on July 29,2023. While attending the event, the Honorary Consul once again confirmed how strong the loyalty and commitment of the diaspora to the homeland of Montenegro are, while at the same time, Montenegro confirmed the willingness to foster quality relations with the diaspora.
As usual, the program started with the anthem of Montenegro, followed by speeches of the President of Plav Nihad Canovic, the host of this year’s Diaspora Days – Expatriates, and the director of the Directorate for Cooperation with Diaspora-Expatriates, Arben Jakupi, followed by the speech of the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatovic.
The program continued with the cultural and artistic program of Folklore Ensemble “Plavsko jezero”, after which a traditional award ceremony was held during which prominent individuals and organizations of diaspora-expatriates received recognitions. The event was organized by the Municipality of Plav and the Directorate for Diaspora of Montenegro.
