Ljubljana, March 26-27, 2024

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro Filip Ivanovic paid to a two-day visit to Slovenia, where he had conversations with officials about Slovenia’s development support for Montenegro on its EU path. During his stay in Slovenia, the Minister was also received by the Honorary Consul of Montenegro Mr. Vojislav Kovac, who, on the first day of the visit, together with his distinguished guest from Podgorica, visited Njegos’ monument in Ljubljana and organized a working dinner for the delegation from Podgorica.
The Honorary Consul actively participated in the talks at the Embassy of Montenegro between the Minister and representatives of the diaspora, while at the Consulate of Montenegro in Kranj he organized an official meeting of the Minister with prominent Montenegrins (from the fields of medicine, banking, economy, journalism) who work and contribute to the Slovenian society. As stated at the meeting, in recent years the number of successful people from Montenegro who choose Slovenia for their place of residence has increased, so it is justified to think about what Montenegro should do to keep its ties with them.
