‘Montenegrin Summer’ Opens in Kranj with Exhibitions and a Reception at the Consulat

The ‘Montenegrin Summer’ in Kranj cultural programme was officially opened in the centre of Kranj, bringing together numerous visitors and enthusiasts of Montenegrin culture.

Initiated by the Gorenjski Museum, the programme features a rich selection of cultural events, including three exhibitions exploring, from different perspectives, the themes of nature, people and space.

To mark the opening of the programme, Vojislav Kovač, Honorary Consul of Montenegro in Slovenia, hosted a reception at the Consulate for the event’s organisers and partners, including representatives of the Gorenjski Museum, the Natural History Museum of Montenegro, and artist Skender Bajrović from the Izvor association.

On the occasion, Kovač emphasised the importance of cultural cooperation between Montenegro and Slovenia and also provided financial support for the programme.

Particular attention was drawn to the exhibition ‘Masters of the Deep – Sharks and Rays of the Adriatic Sea’, presented by the Natural History Museum of Montenegro. The programme also featured artist Skender Bajrović of the Izvor association, who presented his 40th, jubilee exhibition of works, further underscoring his long-standing and notable contribution to the arts.
