The honorary consul Vojislav Kovač received the Minister of Diaspora, Mirsad Azemović at the consulate premises in Kranj yesterday. Mr. Azemović is on a two-day working visit to Slovenia together with the State Secretary Adel Omeragić. The meeting covered topics of importance for preserving the identity and improving the position of the Montenegrin community in this country, as well as the challenges faced by diaspora associations. Mr. Kovač welcomed the establishment of the Ministry of Diaspora and the arrival of its first minister in Slovenia. In a cordial conversation, the honorary consul presented his views on the relationship that Montenegro should have with its diaspora and at the same time offered his help, knowledge, and experience to the newly established Ministry of Diaspora.
During the day, the honorary consul attended a meeting between Minister Azemović and representatives of Montenegrin diaspora associations, and in the evening, he hosted the Montenegrin delegation at a dinner in Ljubljana.
