Honorary Consul Vojislav Kovac, in the presence of representatives of the political leadership, and public and cultural life of Slovenia, attended the ceremonial celebration of the country’s statehood day, dedicated to the memory of 25 June 1991, when Slovenia formally became an independent state.
The solemn speech of the President of Slovenia Natasa Pirc Musar was followed by the artistic part of the state ceremony. The program titled ‘Nineties (Devedesete)’ was dedicated to the decade, which in recent Slovenian history is considered the most important period in achieving the goals of independence and statehood.
